TITLE: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
DESCRIPTION: The CIA training program is addressed to the professionals who would like to pursue the world's premier certification in Internal Auditing. It is based on the detailed requirements of the CIA syllabus and leads to the external examinations and, upon satisfaction of the relevant requirements, the award of the CIA designation by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) of the United States of America.
The Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) exam tests candidates’ knowledge of current internal auditing issues and practices giving strong focus on corporate governance risk and ethics issues. The CIA program equips a candidate with very useful knowledge and business skills that can be applied in any organization or business environment and is not restricted to the field of the internal audit department.
The CIA examination structure is offered in the following four parts:
Part I: The Internal Audit Activity’s role in Governance Risk and Control
Part II: Conducting the Internal Audit Engagement
Part III: Business Analysis and Information Technology
Part IV: Business Management Skills.
Each part consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions.
The examinations are computer-based and have duration of 2 hours and 45 minutes. Holders of professional qualifications (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CAT) may grant exemption from Part IV of the examinations.
DURATION: Parts I and II:
6 days for each part (7 hours per day, total 42 hours)
Part III:
7 days (7 hours per day, total 49 hours)
